Won't lie, really disappointed with the 7th year birthday presents. It's as though ANet have both run out of ideas and resources. That's understandable since GW2 is so close now, but it doesn't stop this from being disappointing.

Well, the main problem for me is that one player will probably already have the miniature he gets in the gift( or let's say in 80% of the time)... I don't believe it's really fun to get something you already have on a birthday. Birthday should be rewarding you something you'll keep, not something you'll instantly sell in kamadan..

What i don't appreciate is the game turning into " get your 50/50 HoM in no time " ( i'm a bit exagerating, but that's the idea), combined with the double event . Players worked on titles for long time, not really fun to see you can do the same today easily...

And as soon as we get the new minis, all the people who QQ the most in this thread are the only one thats going to have the cash to buy them, and then they will be happy.

Not only bout the work...even something stupid like foes dropping almost only consumables...it's making me sick, my friends are losing the will to play cause it seems the game totally turned into a consumables fest...you do normal missions and are overflooded with them as if you were in some weird Lynch film.
Kind of kills the immersion, as you said the only message we get from this birthday is "quit playing this crap game and hurry to buy our fresh new product, there we feed you titles and minis so you can fill your hom asap and move".

Its shouldnt be an info in text panel like - "You recived MIniature Vizu?" Or minis just apear in inventory?

I too am disappointed in the minis this year, they have a whole Zaishen Menagerie to take minis from, and I would be very happy to get a mini Stalker, Black Bear, White Moa etc.

I love minis, just wanted something different, to add to my collection.

Yes, there would be a line in your chat. At least I had it when I opened my 2 presents.

My point was that you were making lots of different points that had nothing to do with each other. Having a bunch of drops that break the immersion for you or something is a temporary problem.

You were also complaining about Anet deciding to give people lots of consumables and make their titles easier, but lots of people have been complaining about that in the thread, so I didn't see much point in rehashing it. Sorry about that, though. I should've been clearer that I didn't mean to say that your only point was a complaint about getting drops you don't like for two weeks. (That sounds snarky. I promise I don't mean it that way!)

Anyway, here's what I thought the message was: "If you want to finish your HoM/GWAMM, we'll help you. But since we're not doing anything to affect normal gameplay, except adding drops for two weeks, you're more than welcome to keep doing whatever you wanted to do."

And who is stupid enough to NOT Printscreen when they recieve an elite mini?

EDIT: If someone shows a picture like this, I think Jhon or any other dev that knows about the 7th minis would post to stop people from verbually killing eachother.

The problem is that it's supposed to be a birthday present.. Someone that has 50/50 already basically gets nothing from his 7th year birthday if the point is just to make more HoM complete.

Giving everyone a miniature corresponding to the five gods wouldn't have been hard to implement ( 5 minis only) and would have satisfy everyone...
